INDRANET Drone Command & Intelligence Network
The INDRANET system provides a platform for specialized GuardCorps soldiers to monitor and direct battlefield drones, but it also turns each drone into a node in an integrated surveillance network that can feed back data on enemy troop movements, intercepted communications signals, and even atmospheric conditions.
When routed through a competent operator, INDRANET provides a holistic, up-to-the-minute picture of the battlefield that functions independently of satellite networks or more centralized command-and-control structures. This means INDRANET can continue to operate even when those higher-level systems have been damaged, hacked, or jammed, enabling commanders to retain an accurate (if limited) picture of the battlefield. Because of this, INDRANET has been hailed as one of the more significant advancements in battlefield intelligence.
Some forces prioritize eliminating drones ahead of zeos or support troopers to disrupt their use as INDRANET nodes, especially in covert operations where an assault occurs in conjunction with extensive jamming of enemy communications. In such scenarios, destroying drones is vital to keep the enemy “in the dark” about the size, composition, and movements of the attacking force.
