Emblian Empire
Embla is an empire in the continent of Zenith, from Everyday Heroes.
History
Founded by the god-dragon of the same name and Thrasir, the first Empress of Embla, Embla once worked with the Kingdom of Askr to open and close the gates to other worlds, with Askr's bloodline having the power of opening and Embla's having the power of closure. That changed when the Emblians left the gates open for their own ambitions. The Emblian royal line is affected by a blood curse in which eventually, each member of the royal family is plagued by violent thoughts and a voice that tells them to seek the destruction of Askr and its bloodline.
The late Emperor of Embla gathered many Heroes and waged war with Askr in hopes of conquering it and gaining its prosperity, supported by his people. However, when he died, his second wife, who had no dreams of conquest took over. His daughter by his first wife, Veronica, wished to fulfill his dream and conquer Askr, and began to visit various worlds to put Heroes under her control. Like her father, she is supported by Embla's people and its top advisors.
Embla's royalty has had the power to close gates to other worlds for many generations. This is in contrast to the power of Askr's royalty, who have the power to open gates to other worlds. For a time both countries used their powers in tandem, though Embla eventually stopped cooperating for some reason, leaving Askr with only the power to open gates. Both countries are known for summoning heroes to fight by their sides.
