Carnival 9127

Each year an extravagant event takes place where mages are able to show their progress and earn a housing permit in an upper sector of Arcadia, this event is known to the locals of Monostahl as Carnival. Mages that have studied hard, and trained their abilities can test them selves against their peers, and for some even secure a sponsorship. Sponsors can grant mages temporary housing permits, pay for spell components, and even set them up with laboratories to explore the mysteries of the arcane arts. 
Mages are not the only ones to benefit from this event. Its a chance for artifacers and alchemists to show off and sell the fruits of their labor. Vendors of all kinds gather in Arcadia to sell wares to the tourists that come from all over for this event. For some people, their entire year is made in this one week. 
This is a celebration for even commoners. It is the one time a year that members of even the Modest Class Division are welcomed to the Caster Class Division for the festivities. Fireworks, games, contests and artisan displays are held and bring the city together for 5 days. 
Every 10 years the Wizard King Tournament is held as Carnival is extended to a 10 event.
