Stracian culture is neither overly militaristic or pacifistic. Stracia is strongly religious, primarily worshipping Esrus.

Stracians do not have strict rules of propriety, and profanity is common. However, basic civility is generally expected.

Stracian buildings are made of wood, and coated with a compound that protects them from water.

Children are often baptized with seawater after birth.

In Stracia, funerals typically consist of a short ceremony, then lowering the body into the sea.

Common Taboos

In Stracia, unnecessary pollution of the sea is looked down upon. Flammable trash is typically burned in large metal trash pits located throughout the city. These pits are monitored by guards at all times. Burning trash outside of these pits is illegal. 
Sport fishing is disdained by Stracians, and people who do it are typically ostracized.
