Medusa

Once a beautiful mortal priestess of a long-lost temple devoted to the god Sytarr, the God of Judgment, who took notice of her wisdom and grace. However, when Medusa became the object of desire for The Queen of Chaos, she was cursed in a fit of rage by Focalors, the Archangel of Justice for turning her back on justice, to become a creature of unimaginable terror.   Her once-beautiful visage was transformed—her hair became serpents, and her gaze turned to stone, cursing all who looked upon her. With the curse came isolation, her beauty lost and replaced with a grotesque power.

The Rise of Medusa as a Titan

In the solitude of her exile, Medusa's transformation from a mortal priestess to a Titan of stone and petrification was inevitable. She became a symbol of vengeance, but also of balance—her gaze serving as a reminder that even the gods could be capricious and unjust.   Yet, it was the god Balenceo, one of the gods of balance, who saw the inherent value in Medusa's existence. Rather than destroy her or further isolate her, he offered her a place of power in the divine hierarchy. Through his counsel, Medusa was granted the title of Titan and was entrusted with the task of maintaining the balance between judgment and mercy.   Medusa's role in the grand design was not to be simply a vengeful force, but a judge who could preserve or destroy based on the balance of truth and justice. The gods, particularly Focalors, feared Medusa's power fearing she would turn it on her, but Balenceo saw her potential and took her under his wing. Medusa was allowed to take up residence in Elysium, a realm ruled not to unlike her home in Kiranora.
