Significance

The royal sword of the Zerik Isles. It is only drawn for executing those guilty of treason or in a civil war. Its actual origin is not known, but the legend is that it was originally forged for the 4th King of Zerik, Brethyn. His three brothers all believed that they should have the crown and challenged him. He slew them all with an unnatural ease and from then on the sword was believed to be loyal to the crown, empowering its wearer against would-be usurpers.
