Siltstor

Public Agenda

Conservative they enjoy the protection the Protectorate provides and see this as the core benefit of membership. The average Silstorian cares very little for the goal of spreading the protectorate as opposed to building defences for the current incarnation. They butt heads with the more expansionist members, but are often seen by the more moderate parties to be a necessary counter weight.

History

Where as the Zerik Isles are believed to be the origin of man, Silstor is where they spread too. Unlike the Zerik who embraced naval pursuits, early Silstor shunned the sea, believing that one day the Sea will reclaim man to the deep. Superb horsemen and Archers they favoured castles and walled settlements.

Demography and Population

Predominantly humans live here, however Hobgoblins are common and hold office in many towns. Traditionally other races are rare and none have ever held a title before the protectorate and even after its formation only a handful have. They do however host many delegations from the Agmot/Agris as the halfling's cuisine is very popular, however halflings generally view Siltstor as a place nice to visit, but not to live. So halflings are a common site all over but are unlikely to be citizens or long term residents.

Military

Light cavalry and archers form the backbone of their forces.

Education

Only nobles receive a full education, however literacy is beaten into everyone(sometimes literally) as how can a peasant enact an order they cannot read?
Legislative Body
The King of Siltstor has the highest authority and he may delegate as he sees fit. He can also remove titles at will but a good king learns not to annoy his allies lest his head wind up on a pike.
