Hauntling

Almost all the native population of "The Haunt" are Half-elves. Due to the original ancient kingdom being made up of elves and man, and the small population that survived there was no way for human and elven lines to continue separately in a major way. Some may exhibit more human or elven characteristics but all have shared ancestry. A person from the Haunt is called a Hauntling by outsiders though within the Haunt this term is not used and by some of the more reclusive settlements may not even be known. Hauntlings themselves will always refer to themselves with the demonym of their home settlement.
