The Road So Far... (Aisha's Journal)

General Summary

In the life of an elf or a dragon, twenty years is nothing. Flash in the pan. A hiccup. Even for a tiefling or a half-elf, it's not the long stretch it is for humans or the shorter-lived species.

So, twenty years ago, the necromantic weirdo who flirted with me in my shop while the rest of his friends bought squirrels for a mint... Rygor took on a Balor Lord and won. He went down into the depths of Hell, essentially punched the guy in the eye and took over his territory. Since then, he's been building power and is nothing short of a minor god even on our plane now. I saw a teenager wearing eyeliner and an "All Hail Rygor" t-shirt the other day and it made me feel old. It's weird to say "I knew that guy when he was human," but I did.

Trevor and Mithrime went off into the world to "retire." Surprisingly, I get postcards from them occasionally. They ended up with two kids and a chemist's shop in some little podunk town somewhere. Mithrime makes bullets and Trevor makes potions, mostly Alchemist's Blessings from the sound of it.

After the big fight, Rooker took over Trevor's stronghold as a school retreat for his telekinetics...the ones who survived, anyway. Kamus and his associates have been willing to leave them alone since Trevor's gone and Rooker really doesn't have designs on the underground of Steamfront. Kamus pretty much owns the whole place now and he's living like a king.

Sandpoint took the loss of Zea and Rae pretty hard. They've recovered, for the most part, because the humans who knew them have moved on and another generation has replaced them. Orevel is still captain of the guard. The Bursar's office still holes the lien on my shop. At least we got the goblin out of the basement before the whole place when to shit.

The portal to Graverobber's dimensional pocket is gone like it was never there. Trevor wrote to me about it himself, actually. That's where he's originally from, you know. He's stuck here now. I guess his sister was on the other side. It's been a rough twenty years for him, though he loves Mithrime and his kids more than anything. The weird thing, though, is that I've seen someone wandering around Steamfront who looks like the girl Trevor described as Lacy. From what he said, she was the portal keeper, so if she's here, there must still be away across, right?

But what do I know about planar travel anyway? I'm just a tiefling.
