Spit Dragon Unit

Blue spit Dragons are often raised to be police personnel in the kingdom of the Elements.  Blue spits run on all fours, kind of a quiet slink. Quick as a whip, quiet as a mouse, can climb trees in seconds without making a sound. Beautiful blue scales and a toothy smile.
Highly intelligent they take well to law and order and thrive in situations with many rules they can learn to follow and enforce, making them naturally inclined to this line of work.  All spit dragons communicate in a clicking language that can be difficult to master, but is now taught and spoken by almost all Elemental citizens. When raised to be law enforcers, they are often dutiful and are prepared to have this be their life's work, trained to enjoy being a low ranking soldier for justice.  When a Blue spit is raised in a family situation, they often find themselves interested and inclined to police work anyways, but often thrive and move up the ranks.
The spit dragon unit is an unofficial unit of the police force.  almost every spit dragon in the force is in this unit.  it is a low ranking highly valued unit.  Some call them the "police dogs".  they will even say 'bring in the dogs' when referring to the spits.  Some see this as offensive, others see it as just slang.
They are incredible trackers, have impressive night vision, and an incredible sense of smell.  the factory-raised spits often have troubles with social ques and compassion.  those raised in a family, they often understand complex social situations, have an easier time understanding English.
The spit unit is on the brink of collapse if those who are interested in keeping spits all in one place can't keep the idea in their heads that they are just spits and not people.  The factory-raised spit is raised to believe they are dumber than humans.  Anyone who lives with one could tell you they are often fair more intellectual than most people.
