Screaming Demon

Basic Information

Anatomy

Dominating its face is an impossibly wide maw stretching from where ears might have been down to its chest. This gaping mouth is filled with countless rows of jagged, needle-like teeth, constantly shifting and rearranging as it emits its screams. Above the maw, its face lacks eyes, having only smooth, pale skin. Suggesting that it perceives the world through sound vibrations rather than sight.
Towering at over nine feet tall, its gaunt form is cloaked in tattered remnants of leathery flesh.  Its arms are unnaturally long, ending in clawed hands with fingers that taper into sharp points, capable of slicing through the tough material.

Behaviour

The demon emits a soul-piercing scream capable of fracturing stone walls, splinter wood, and collapsing buildings within its range. Those who hear the scream may experience intense vertigo, bleeding ears, and temporary or permanent deafness. The scream taps into primal fears, causing uncontrollable terror and hysteria.
Beyond the physical, the scream carries a psychic resonance that invades the minds of its victims, manifesting as horrifying visions that blur the line between reality and nightmare.
Between screams, the demon can absorb ambient sounds, plunging the surroundings into an uncanny silence that heightens tension and fear.
The Screaming Demon can momentarily become incorporeal, allowing it to pass through solid objects or evade attacks.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

An oppressive atmosphere surrounds the demon, causing those nearby to feel an overwhelming sense of despair and fear even before hearing its scream.
