Anatomy

Their bodies are adorned with scales that shimmer in shades of deep green and iridescent emerald. In sunlight, their scales refract light, creating dazzling patterns reminiscent of sunbeams filtering through a dense canopy.
Graceful horns curve elegantly from their heads, resembling the arching branches of ancient trees. Along their spine, leafy frills or crystalline spines protrude, which can pulse with light when they channel magic.
Emerald dragons are slender yet powerful, their physiques built for agility rather than sheer might. They move with a fluid grace that belies their size.

Ecology and Habitats

Their dwellings are masterpieces of natural architecture—caves draped with vines, caverns adorned with luminescent fungi, or hidden grottoes behind cascading waterfalls. These lairs are often imbued with protective enchantments and illusions. Acting as guardians, they maintain the balance of their habitats. They nurture growth, heal blighted areas, and communicate with flora and fauna through empathic and magical means.

Behaviour

They spend much time in deep contemplation, attuning themselves to the whispers of the earth and the currents of magic. Communication: When they do communicate, it's often through telepathy or by manipulating natural elements to convey messages. Their voice, when heard, carries a melodic, almost hypnotic quality.
Cautious yet curious, they may observe travelers from a distance. Those who demonstrate respect for nature might earn their counsel or assistance.
Fiercely protective of their domains, they will intervene against threats to the natural order. They prefer to outsmart adversaries, employing illusions and enchantments over direct confrontation.
Unlike other dragons drawn to wealth, emerald dragons gather objects of profound natural and mystical significance such as scroll, seeds, instruments, artworks, and experiences.
