Not all Foes are Squishy

General Summary

Megara uses her Fog Cloud to get us to the coast where Mageran ( follower of Bahamut) stays at the camp by the ship docs. We are left to speak to the owner of the ship. It is a small boat holding no more than 12. Capt Pax Haskavin informs us it will take 10 to 20 days to get to the island. It's a small ship, a single-room shanty " tavern", and maybe 15 people in " town". and so close is the only option. A saw-cut wood building is a " tavern" with 2 or 3 simple rooms. We set up our camp area and took a short rest.
When Supper Time comes around we go to the Shanty Inn and it welcomes "The Dwarf" gregariously. The rest of us watch the drinking contest and fan club. The captain and crew-man join in the chatter and drinking with us, gambling on the side with some dice.

Their Views and New:

Prince went crazy a year ago. Drove out all religions. elves are going off the grid, some heading to Ferotia, Shosou as well. There are rumours of ghost ships but none have been seen. There is a giant sea turtle-dragon that they pay with gold for safer passage.
Safe ports between here and the island? sasakew is good folk, a little strange but good.
In camp, we discuss an escape plan in case the ship sinks and set up Tiny Hut for the night. Watches: 1- Tor, 2- Eryn, 3- Amnun, 4- Debetta's watch she sees a man in the forest. Debetta turns into a mouse and runs up his leg, biting. This gives Eryn a chance to attack. The guy drops but Debetta senses a military 100 ft away. Racing back, Eryn wakes the captain and Debetta wakes the team and sailors. Everyone races to the boat.
As we set sail the soldiers attack the locals but Tor's fireball wipes them ( and the beach sailors) out. Jaykes' control water gets the boat out of there fast. Tor and Meg can use the spell 3 times. In 60 min we go 60,000 ft ( 11 miles. ). Long rests for all of us as the sails take control of movement.

• Day 1 Raining. Day, peaceful, Evening peaceful.
• Day 2 Winds against us. Control water again. 11 miles Day Quiet. Evening Quiet
• Day 3 Rain, Winds against us. Control water. 11 Miles. Day ... not quiet.
  Another boat approaches us from Starboard. The other boat looks " A little fishy"

Initiative: Jayke casts a tidal wave and while it does move away from our ship, it then reclaims the distance at a higher speed. Tor casts a fireball, but it doesn't do much damage. Eryn shoots an arrow and strikes. Fires again
Megera gets possessed, Jayke saves, Amnun saves and takes damage, Tor saves and takes damage, Debetta gets possessed, Intelligence and charisma are now 5! Amnun smashes with his hammer, and Debetta goes full full-boar. Jayke gets vision mud in his eyes and blindly swings. He has to clear his vision or swing at a disadvantage.
Amnun keeps smashing causing major damage but the monster is only slightly bleeding. Eryn finds success with the sling and a piece of silver! We keep plucking away! Psychic attacks and possessing hit us hard! The final strikes are tidal waves against us and a whirl pool. Seeing us defeated they flee.
