Adlon Empire
The Adlon Empire was an empire that once spanned the entire continent of Rhyduania. While Al-gon was never really colonized in any meaningful way and the Khalvari dwarves were left to run their kingdom as an autonomous region of the Empire, there were no other powers to dispute the authority of the Empire. The empire originated in the Adlon Peninsula, now known as the The Blasted Lands in the millennia since the Sundering ended the empire.
The world lost nearly all history from the time of the Empire during the Sundering and the subsequent chaos and destruction. Some scholars have since reconstructed some knowledge of the Empire and even a few rare glimpses into even older cultures, but the slow erosion of nations into the current state of Rhyduania has prevented the knowledge from coming anywhere close to pre-Sundering levels, as universities and libraries now lack the funding they once enjoyed under the rule of kings and queens.
Very little is known about the day to day life of an Adlonian citizen, but evidence of their military and economic presence can be found scattered across the continent, in the form of ruined forts and citadels, ancient architecture and waterworks in cities, and the famed Adlonian caches: weapon and supply caches buried in remote locations across the continent as fall back options for occupying soldiers. The value of these caches became apparent when the successor states of the empire in turn warred with each other over their contents, further amplifying the devastation of the empire's collapse in events known as The Beautiful War and The Golden Famines.
While the circumstances of the event are unclear, either during or immediately following the Sundering, the ruling classes of the Lon'res people vanished, which lead the remaining Lon'res people to largely assimilate into local cultures, turning what had once been colonization efforts into a post-hoc diaspora, leading the survivors to become the Diz'res people. As for the few Lon'res remaining on the Adlon Peninsula, the only known survivors occupied a narrow strip of jungle known as the Chuulth Jungle, and over time came to be the Chuul'res.
