Construct

The creature's eyes fluttered open as the last spell was cast to bring the body alive. The glow in some nearby crystals fading as energy was drawn from them for it to use. The mage grinned as their new construct stood slowly and looked around. A dark feline-esque body just as much made with magic as the consciousness within. Bright eyes flickered to look at different things around the room, until they came to settle on their creator. A low growl came from the construct's throat as its gaze locked on the mage.
It hadn't been bound yet, and it didn't want to be.

Constructs are creatures mostly or entirely made with a number of magical spells to bring them to life. Their form depends on their creator's intent, some are used for messengers, others defense, some are even used for just helping around the house. Loyalty depends both on the creator and the construct. Some are loyal without being bound, others.... well....
