Crypt of Flamefell

In the cemetery of Flamefell stands a large stone crypt. Covered in crawling ivy and several lengths of heavy iron chains, the stonework has stood the test of time. It is maintained by one of the city leaders, a well-to-do male dwarf by the name of Rangrim Broodfist. His family has held the honor of maintaining the cemetery and everything in it for centuries.
The legend says that a wizard of great power had wanted to lay claim to the region now known as The Ethereal Nexus, consolidating it under one ruler. This wizard had a dark history and the citizenry of the area defended their ways of life and fought back. After many years of constant fighting, the wizard summoned elemental powers to lay a curse upon the land, creating a mighty snowstorm with no end in sight. Beginning in the peaks of the northern mountain range, it spread slowly, encompassing what would one day become the great city of Flamefell. 
During this time, a female fire genasi had been making a name for herself by helping out where she could and keeping the balance between nature and civilization. The Warden of the Nexus had been a stalwart ally for the people against the dark wizard and soon made her way to meet the snowstorm. Her chosen element was the one she was born with, fire and all of the life that came with it. She struggled to combat the freezing storm, barely managing to make it into the center before realizing she would need help. And so, the Warden called upon six allies, all familiar with the element of fire, and melded their powers together. As one, they were able to break the enchantment of the ice storm, but at great cost. 
To this day, the Warden of the Nexus and her six allies maintain a vigil over the city of Flamefell.
