One of the main settlements in Katal. Many races live here, and it holds one of the greatest libraries in the world.

Zenia is a melting pot of races and cultures.

Government

Zenia is run by an Oligarchy of important figures in the city. This ranges from shop owners to religious figures. They often meet with many of the populous to gather their thoughts and make decisions based on the cities best interests. This council is currently populated by Sir Borro Henish, a noble from Kesia who has used his money to form a personal militia to protect the city, Darr the Unbreakable, Shaun Harrison, the human man who runs the lumber mill, and Keeper Kenrik Estan, the local Keeper of the House of Unity.

Defences

Ever since the end of the 500 year war, many cities have grown to be lax in their defenses as time has passed. Their walls are patrolled and guards watch the streets, but there numbers are few and overall do not have much of a chance against a planned attack. There is a stone wall surrounding the city that is lightly patrolled with a few towers dotting the parameter.

Industry & Trade

Zenia profits greatly from outsiders coming to visit the Great Zenian Library. Being on the bottom of a forest allows Zenia to easily export lumber, and their relatively close proximity to the Sea of Ghosts allows them to reap those benefits as well.

Infrastructure

There is a large and sophisticated system of sewers and plumbing systems are used to make this one of the most technologically advanced cities in this regard.

Assets

The Great Zenian Library is famous and a holds a large variety of texts. The Dragon Hoard is the most famous shop based in Zenia. It sells the magic items found by now retired adventurer Darr the Unbreakable.

Guilds and Factions

The Great Zenian Library has a university for the especially gifted, this is a place people can learn about almost anything they can think of.

Architecture

Structures here are very reminiscent of classical medieval architecture. White plaster walls with wood frames and stone bases. Many of the more wealthy residents live in beautiful wood homes with designs carved into the walls.

Geography

Zenia is sorrounded by a dense Linden forest. The land is relatively flat elevation wise with lots of rocks dotting the landscape.

Natural Resources

Lumber is one of their main exports other than knowledge. fish and forest wildlife are their main form of food. plumbell, a plant grown in freshwater, is also a very common food.
