Nilhan
The home of the Frost Elves, Nilhan is the northernmost city in Katal. A religious city, the Acolytes of The Frost Mother are famous warriors, defending a fortress that is famously inpenetrable.
Demographics
The wealth classes have a wide range from the extremely poor to the very wealthy. Professions also range heavily from hunters, to miners, to artisan crafters. almost no other races can be found here, and the ones there are often less wealthy than the Frost Elves of the region.
Government
Nilhan is run by an emperor. The title gets passed down through the current reigning family. If a family line ends, the title of emperor is instead given to the Acolyte General
Defences
Guards with Nill Panthers patrol the outer paths near Nilhan, and guards are always watching the walls and the inner city.
Industry & Trade
Meat, animal parts, metals, and precious gems are their main export, and plants and fruit are their main import.
Infrastructure
Nilhan is sorrounded by walls of Odion, a black glassy rock that is resistant to magic. There are two walls and a large fortress in the innermost wall. This in addition to the location up in the mountains, the fortress is believed to be impregnable. Their use of Frosted Steel is also noteworthy due to it being a difficult material.
Assets
Due to the large amount of animals near Nilhan, meat is a common export for the Frost Elves. There are also many mines with precious gems and metals. They are famous for a special ice that cannot melt. This ice is called Nil, and is used for weapons and by produce warehouses for keeping things cold for long periods of time.

History
Nilhan was founded by a group of traveling Frost Elves. They found that the climate suited them well. There they formed the settlement. Over time, they established their system of government and the rest is history.
Architecture
Their architecture is very sharp and angular. They have angled roofs that peak in the center of the buildings. They are similar in shape to ancient viking homes. The wood near Nilhan is a mid grey and most foundations are made of Odision.
Geography
Nilhan is located high in the mountains. It is extremely cold and nearly unlivable to those who are not accustomed to the environment.

They have Nil Panthers, and Manads, Manads are large horse sized sheep like creatures that produce a lot of wool. frosted steel, lumber, metals, gems, Nil
