Many from around the world come to Rycote to study about the ancient ruins which dot the land, but as more people move here, the city is becoming a modern-day marvel as well. After the great cataclysm an age ago, and the fall of the Dhashmiiri empire, each city decided to become their own rulers, and have no central emperor or empress. Over the centuries of the age, the five major guilds were establish and codified by the Dhashmiiri Lords for the protection of the sacredness of the laws of each city state.
