After a century of order and prosperity, the Kingdom of Falinor began to experience incursions form the shadowlands of the Reach Unsung commanded by the mysterious, godlike Dark Lord. After the annihilation of the town of Loststead, the armies of Falinor were marshaled eastward to push back the forces of darkness, beginning a century-long conflict that would, while uniting the peoples of the West against a common foe, nevertheless strain the Kingdom to the point of political and economic collapse by its conclusion.
