Only the most ancient of dragons can speak of the Dragon War that raged throughout Yyrda for a millennium, destroying much of the world in the process. Myths tell the story that the dragons of old sided with either the dark or the light, with the great Allmother leading the forces of good against nearly overwhelming evil--only to abandon her children in the end, leaving them to succumb to the dark or flee to the far reaches of the world.
