Perhaps only a handful of being in existence (including the gods) know exactly what occurred to bring about the end of the Elder Race and their civilization, but the event is known as the Cataclysm, and the most ancient myths tell of a great rending of heaven and earth that forever changed what once was, and what was to come after.
