The Architects' Hoard

General Summary

Domokos, Eliana, Riven, Sebastian, and Robin gather in Elfriede's study, where he unveils the path to a long-lost temple and the hidden cache from the fallen Kingdom of Volskaria. With a map in hand and determination in their hearts, the heroes follow Elfriede as he leads them to the temple, eager to uncover its ancient secrets.
As they approach the temple, Elfriede is suddenly struck by an unseen arcane force, the pain searing through him as the soul of the Ancient Silver Dragon, Asativarainuth, within him is assaulted by a power he cannot comprehend. Realizing he cannot proceed, Elfriede, in a moment of desperation, uses his Wand of Teleportation to send himself back to The Last Rest. Before departing, he sends a message to the party, urging them to continue without him, as the temple’s wards prevent his entry.
The remaining heroes venture into the temple, their steps echoing through the long, empty halls until they reach a foreboding threshold. The door before them is inscribed with ancient text, detailing the Trials of the Wardens that lie beyond. Riven, recognizing the significance, realizes that these trials were once a rite of passage for becoming a Templar of the Silent Watch.
Undeterred, the heroes face each trial with courage and cunning. Riven soars up the towering wall to retrieve the key for the first trial. Together, they outwit the malevolent Mirror in a battle of riddles, and in the final trial, they discover that sometimes, the solution is not what it seems.
At long last, standing before the massive vault door, the heroes combine the three keys, unlocking the ancient seal. As the door creaks open, the stench of decaying air fills their lungs, and Eliana, who had sensed the presence of undead since they entered, knows the danger is near.
A horde of Bodaks emerges from the shadows, the final guardians of the vault’s treasure. The battle that ensues is fierce and grueling, with the heroes at times nearly overwhelmed. But through skill, resolve, and a bit of luck, they manage to vanquish the undead threat, though not without injury.
Finally, the heroes turn their attention to the vault’s contents. Many treasures catch their eyes, but one particular item gives Riven pause. A tome, bound in dark, weathered leather, with an emblem of a sword and shield embosed on the cover. Penned by one of the original Templars of the Wardens of the Silent Watch; The Oaths of the Sentinel.
At the center of the vault, resting on a pedestal, lies a magical orb—the Archanotech Nexus. This powerful artifact, capable of amplifying or nullifying any and all magic, has been protected for centuries. With their prize in hand, the weary but victorious heroes make their way back to The Last Rest, where a worried Elfriede awaits, hoping for some sign that his friends have returned safely.
