Backstory

In a small village, far to the north of the reach, there are legends of a bear man, roaming the snowy wilds. Some legends say that the bear man will steal the village children, and devour them in the night. Some say that the bear man will leave gifts of elk and salmon nearby the homes of the elderly that are too weak to feed themselves. Others believe the bear man to be nothing more than a cryptid, a flash of white hair during the fiercest blizzards.
What the legends don't tell is the story of a man who rages against memories of shining eyes that went out long ago.
