Gildram Ironvein
Backstory
Gildram Ironvein is a proud dwarf of the Emberforge Clan, raised in the fiery heart of Karak Dhurn, where molten steel and the ringing of hammers were as familiar as his own heartbeat. Apprenticed to the legendary smith Tharkus Emberforge, Gildram learned not only the art of crafting weapons and armor but also the philosophy behind it: “Every blade is more than a weapon; it is a legacy.” His promising path was shattered when Tharkus died suddenly, leaving behind whispers of sabotage and secrets buried in the embers. Grief-stricken and determined to uncover the truth, Gildram took up adventuring, carrying with him the lessons of his master and a desire to surpass even Tharkus's legendary craft. Adventuring is Gildram’s forge—a place where battles temper his resolve and discoveries feed his ambition. With a self-forged great axe strapped to his back and soot-streaked hands that tell of years of labor, he seeks rare materials, ancient techniques, and answers to the questions left by his master’s death. Driven to honor Tharkus’s legacy while forging his own, Gildram blends his martial prowess with the creativity of a smith, determined to create works that will stand as monuments to his clan’s name and his master’s memory.
