General Summary
Knight Templar Riven of the Holy Order of Ilmater knees in vigil on a field of summer flowers, waiting the blessing of their god. A beam of radiance finally greets them from the heavens. But instead of a divine blessing, three adventurers appear: a wizard, a ranger, and an artificer. As the four reconnect and attempt to sort out the tangled webs of time that have brought them here, Elfriede notices a fifth person. No, not a person. Something far more powerful. A messenger of Ilmater, who announces herself as bound to a new master, and send down to end them.
A desperate fight ensues. The Messenger brings down holy fire and judgement, radiant blade downing hero right and left, Elfriede and Eliana brought back from the brink of death by the magical support of their companions. While the heroes do their best to ward of the divine retribution raining down from the celestial's furious blows, it is not until Riven takes the Nexus from Robin, transferring its power into their own body and scythe, that they are able to turn the tide of the battle, which comes to a grisly end with Robin delivering a series of arcane blows with softstroke astride his kaleidoscopic cloud mount.
With the bound celestial banished, our heroes will be left to decide the fate of the Nexus -- and Riven will need to sort out the conflicting versions of themselves they find themselves torn between.
