A Cave with Mysterious Markings

General Summary

Hammer 17, Year 2
Disembarking off of a ship to the south, a new hero, Ivar, lands in the Reach. A tinkerer and engineer, Ivar had heard stories of wild flying machines, strange clockwork people, and other technological mysteries that pulled him to the chaotic new lands. In search of more information, he came to Last Rest, where he finds Mushy and Alexander, once again eating stew. Bonding over their height and some soggy carrots, the three decide to band together when they hear from two nerdy boys at the tavern about the possibility of loot that has been buried deep underneath the Shattered Mountain.
The ruins of the Shattered Mountains were difficult to excavate, but eventually Alexander stumbled upon a caved-in area, filled with debris, with strange writing in the language of the Architects. Finding a journal with translations for a few words, they were able to enter the vault, discovering a dusty room full of ancient tomes. Having little interest in unreadable books, the party hopped in a minecart at the edge of the room and descended deep into the mountain. Failing to state a password however, they were chased by clockwork machines, which they were eventually able to defeat.
At the edge of the minecart rail was a beautiful amber vault (shown below) with many locked stores of treasure. Alexander discovered a Bag of Holding, and Ivar discovered 50 lbs of Arcanotech. Mushy however (rolling a NAT20 on her investigation, again) opened the vault labeled DRAGON, and found something potentially even more valuable...
