9.28 - The Belltower
General Summary
Eliana Quilaren, Curie Sunseeker, and Arthel Stonefurry returned from a harrowing five-day journey beginning in a simple contract to map out the surrounding area, devolving into a desperate, days-long attempt to escape the undead hordes in the Haunted Battlefield, and culminating in the discovery of an ancient, magical belltower to the southeast. After making their way past necromantic traps and through grabby suits of living armor, they uncovered the legend of the place in faded manuscripts and successfully rang the hallowed bell at the top of the tower. Doing so broke the spell on not only the tower, but the surrounding lands as well, including the shrouded battlefield that had already claimed the lives of many an adventurer before them; they were able to pass quickly through its now sun-lit dales to return back to the Last Rest--along with tales to tell and treasures to show for it.
