11.6 - Battle at the Bridge

General Summary

A strange orc arrives from the east--Oktar, the divine soul shaman, called by Gruumsh to spread his scorching light to the people beyond the wastes. He makes his entrance into the lands claimed by the humans at a recently constructed bridge, but discovers that it seems to have been taken over by goblins. With the aid of two fellow adventurers who had been captured by a goblin patrol, Curie and Ami, Oktar makes short work of the goblins, but flees upon seeing trolls begin to emerge from the ravine to join the fight, along with the goblin warg riders from the east who had harried his journey through the desert. Will Oktar find a place among the heroes of the Reach? Only time will tell, but as he comes down after his first night of comfortable rest in weeks to the Last Rest Tavern's common room, he hears his name being sung in a tale of glory, and smiles.
