11.20 - Necromancer's Tower

General Summary

Shloopurr, Ami, Curie, and Bronwen took a visit to the Druid camp, on the rumor of dragons swirling around the Ominous Tower to the east. After some potion crafting and very smooth talking from Bronwen, they learned that the Necromancer who Ami and team had attacked in the woods just days before, Amalika, had at one time been a druid of the Circle of the Forest. However, after performing a controversial necromantic ritual to contain an ancient dragon, she was banished from the circle never to return. Bronwen's empathy and a well-placed NAT20 earned her an additional 1 point of alliance favor with the Druid Circle. Finding Amalika's mother, she handed the party a letter to deliver to her daughter.
As the party set off towards the Standing Stone on the way to the tower, Ami was able to use his Moon Sickle to realize that a soul had been contained within the stone, which is what had corrupted it. That soul belonged to Amalika's father.
Proceeding towards the tower, the party discovered a terrifying 7 white dragon wyrmlings circling the tower and attacking a lone Tiefling Necromancer on a balcony, as she hurled spells in their direction. With the power of the Tesseract Glove and some 6th level spells from the peerless necromancer, they bested the dragons and looted what was left of them. They also caught the interest of the powerful Tiefling, who allowed everyone but Ami inside the tower. It became clear that this Tiefling, Embra, and Amalika, are in fact partners; while Ami managed to convince Embra not to dessicate him on the spot, it will be some time before Ami can find a friend within the Tower to the east.
