The Field of Broken Brothers

The Field of Broken Brothers is a short poem, carved into a large stone in the marshes just north of Magava. The carving was made by an anonymous author, and carved meticulously in Old Yuran runes. A solemn reminder to those who travel the roads through the marshes, the title of the poem has lent its name to the entire local marshland, which has been called the Field of Broken Brothers.

The Field of Broken Brothers

Upon a field of water and reeds, slept the sun and gods. The ambition of blood's needs, wills forged of iron rods. A queen and a rebel, One in the same. From the flower each a petal, all lost and naught gained. In the end only one can win and thus one must fall. But to the victors goes the sin, the fallen sleep in death's hall.
