Treacherous, powerful and beautiful the current Designated Regent of Yura and self-appointed First Imperial Consort is a force with which to be reckoned. Nathli is not a mortal woman but a Yuan-ti pureblood enchantress and foremost servant to Sisava, the Firstborn. Her devotion to her master and Dendar, the Night Serpent are absolute. Through deception and magic she has ensnared the mind of Koin Angara, Emperor of Yura. Formidable in black magic, deception, seduction and poison Nathli controls all of Yura, using her position to sow discontent and chaos in preparation for the return of her master. Vain and murderous she will stop at nothing to achieve the goals and, in her mind, the destiny of Sisava.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Nathli is slightly shorter than average, though her thick black hair adds to her height. Graceful and smooth she seems to float when she walks and her green eyes seem to glimmer with a combination of malice and fanaticism. Noted for her unusually striking beauty Nathli's well-formed lips and small nose twitch with annoyance when she is agitated. Her fingers and body are liberally decorated with yellow gold jewelry and gemstones.
Facial Features
Nathli has heavily-lidded, hypnotizing, deep green eyes, which seem to shimmer and pulse when she speaks. Her nose is small and rounded, overshadowed by her plump lips. Her entire face, however, is shadowed by her thick black hair, which causes her entire face to appear to be hooded in darkness.

Nathli is noted for her dark skin color, as it is unusually dark compared to the average Yuran and more akin to skin colors seen in far-eastern and far-southern Pronis.
Physical quirks
Nathli has a a tendency to bare her teeth and hiss when she is particularly angry or irritated, though she does her best to curb this habit.

Nathli is a extremely powerful sorceress, noted especially for the creativity and subtlety with which she uses magic. Along with her magic Nathli is an expertly skilled alchemist, specializing unsurprisingly (since she is a Yuan-ti) in poisons.
Apparel & Accessories
Nathli wears robes of layered dark green and black silks, accented with gold filament and padded with velvet. On her head she wears a large gold and ruby tiara, specially designed and created for her. On her neck she wears three distinct necklaces, one of yellow gold and emeralds, one of yellow gold and diamonds, and a small choker of yellow gold with one singular large diamond. Her arms are crisscrossed with gold armbands and bracelets. Mostly distinctly she wears a set of yellow gold chains attached to a jeweled claw on her right pointer finger.

Personal history
Nathli was a Yuan~ti pureblood born into the The Grand Empire of the Yuan-ti shortly after its founding. She was one of a group of ten eggs taken by Meseeth, the Secondborn to personally raise and train. She was trained in magic, subterfuge, and alchemy by Meseeth and quickly surpassed her other "siblings" in skill. Eventually, Meseeth presented the yound pureblood to Sisava, the Firstborn and she quickly became his most fanatical supporter, using her skills to root out and destroy numerous plots and schemes to hurt her master. Fighting alongside her master Nathli was furious upon learning of the death of Meseeth, the Secondborn by the The Eight Liberators (which the Yuan-ti call the Eight Traitors). Nathli is one of a group of only thirty-seven Yuan-ti (along with about two-hundred eggs) to survive the War of Shattered Eggs. After their defeat Nathli and her master brooded in their underground shelter. Nathli along with Aszeli were the only two Yuan-ti placed into hibernation by Sisava, before he himself entered his slumber. After sleeping for over a thousand years she was eventually awoken by Sisava, who tasked her and Aszeli to sow dissent within Yura. Trusting them to their own devices Sisava set about returning to Varkaz Nis and rebuilding it (though cloaking his efforts through powerful illusion magic). Nathli quickly went to work ingratiating herself within the imperial bureaucracy and soon was able to seduce, both Koin Angara, Emperor of Yura and Ira Angara, Crown Prince and Heir Apparent to Yura clearing the way for herself to promoted to an Imperial Consort. Aszeli then kidnapped the Imperial family and took them to the The Sun Gardens on the Summer Spire under the guise of a voluntary journey due to the emperor's poor health. After doing so he returned to the city to assist Nathli, who dispatched him to commit wanton murder and collect vile alchemical ingredients she had been ordered to collect for Sisava. Elevating herself to Grand Vizier of Yura Nathli, within less than a year, has become the de-facto leader of The Empire of Yura. She uses her position to pack the bureaucracy with supporters, some disguised Yuan-ti, but most are regular Yurans drawn to service through a combination of greed and magical manipulation.

Nathli was educated personally by Meseeth, the Secondborn. Nathli's education was primarily focused on manipulation, with a heightened focus on politics and seduction. Along with these skills Nathli was trained in magic and infiltration to further augment her primary focus. Though not a main focus Nathli was also trained how to use daggers, rapiers, and short single-edged blades and her natural athleticism and dexterity makes her highly formidable with these weapons.

Nathli is noted for her sharp mind and a particularly inquisitive nature. Her deductive and anticipative skills are nearly unmatched and it is this skill that has allowed her to maintain nearly absolute control over Yura, despite the Satraps and much of the Imperial bureaucracy initially being opposed to her rule.
Morality & Philosophy
Nathli believes that the self is best advanced by using whatever means necessary. This idea informs her belief in the a philosophy of egoistic consequentialism. This philosophy holds that people should behave egoistically and embrace any social order that allows them to gain the most power. Her beliefs can also be associated with act egoism, personal ethical egoism, and social darwinism.

Rebelliousness: Nathli has no tolerance for anyone who questions her grip on power and any challenges to her power are a threat that must be dealt with and removed without question.

Motivation
Nathli's primary motivation comes from a deep admiration, bordering on obsessive "love", of her master, Sisava, the Firstborn. (Yuan-ti, as emotionless beings, cannot experience love as other mortal races, but can feel a strong connection with another of their species.) Nathli believes him to be the epitome of a Yuan-ti, a being and state towards which all other Yuan-ti can adore but only dream of emulating. Nathli desperately wishes to be elevated and taken as a brood-mate of Sisava, though she knows such a thing is unlikely to ever even be considered. As it is, she works tirelessly to advance the three goals of Sisava. The first is the conquest and re-subjugation of Yura, the second is the summoning of Dendar, the Night Serpent, and third is to use Dendar to help Sisava acheive godhood or, failing that, help him supplant her and become a god.
Likes & Dislikes
Nathli, like most other Avaj, have a deep attraction to power and the perks that accompany influence. Nathli is noted for her extreme fondness for luxury, notably jewelry, and alchemy, which she devotes much of her leisure time to practicing and perfecting. Due to her unfeeling nature Nathli has a strong dislike of humans, elves and other mortal races capable of feeling emotion, seeing that capacity as an inherent weakness of their species (this view is not shared by the majority of Yuan-ti). Despite sharing an often intimate relation with Aszeli Nathli loathes him, seeing in him an attempt to usurp her position as the favored servant of their master.
Virtues & Personality perks
Nathli is not a virtuous woman, using deceit, manipulation and violence to achieve her goals. If she possesses and virtue it would be patience. Nathli and her master were content to wait over six-hundred years to see their plans to come to fruition. Thus, Nathli is very deliberate and cautious when it comes to her schemes. As noted above her anticipative skills are second-to-none and it is nearly impossible to surprise the regent.
Vices & Personality flaws
Nathli is violent, murderous, manipulative, and treacherous. Her vices are numerous yet all, while considered vile, make her an extremely dangerous opponent and her lack of emotion makes her view her vices are virtues. Nathli possesses two major flaws, which are endemic among Yuan~ti. The first is arrogance, an belief in her inherent superiority. The second is ambition which, while not inherently a negative trait, is an obsession for Nathli, who would crush friends and enemies without a second though to achieve her goals.

Nathli worships Dendar, the Night Serpent, seeing her as the personification of the perfect being. While Nathli does respect and worship this Dark Primordial, her master's plans do shape the level of devotion she shows towards Dendar.

Nathli has a habit of clicking her nails together while talking, using the jeweled talon on her right hand. She blinks very slowly, seemingly deliberately when she is talking or deep in thought.
Hobbies & Pets
Nahtli is an accomplished alchemist and magic user and spend her time enhancing these talents. Nathli is particularly skilled in both poison making and Kaerlymency and practices these talents daily. She is also highly educated and, when no occupied with her other hobbies, reads extensively, with a focus for history and, more sinisterly, occult topics such as demonology and necromancy (though the latter is banned and the former considered profane). She has no pets.
Speech
Nathlu has a sultry, rich and seductive voice. The necklace of emeralds she wears bewitches her voice and her speech drips with this magic enhancement, making it seem warm and inviting. Those who are not protected against this sort of magic find themselves ensnared in her speech, which allows her to compel those around her. This magic is not all encompassing, as the victims can choose to resist, though this can prove to be immensely difficult.

Nathli has access to prodigious wealth, as being the Designated Regent of Yura gives her access to the Imperial Treasury. Nathli as a consort, also has access to the portions of the palace and resources afforded other consorts (though she is the only one at present). Nathli, in keeping with her generally flouting of convention, has situated herself in the Imperial suite and procured huge amounts of jewelry and luxury items from master artisans and foreign merchants.
