Shivering Elixir

The shivering elixir, otherwise known as "revival-aide" or "the bone break juice", is a drug that has extremely devastating effects on the body. Initially created in an attempt to create a superior healing potion, the resulting alchemical compound has found its way into a number of alternative uses, including as a treatment for potentially life-threatening diseases.

Origin

In the early years of the Age of False Providence, an attempt was made to develop a potion greater than a supreme healing potion. The hope was that, through this potion, alchemists could get closer to creating a compound to aid clerics in the revival process. Instead, the initial tests produced a viscous black substance that smelled of death and raspberries.
When consumed, the body undergoes a number of very painful experiences. Those that have experienced the elixir's effects have described the process as equivalent to being set on fire and drowning at the same time, while all of your bones crumble to dust. When the effects were discovered, the alchemists developing it immediately discarded the research, but it was eventually picked up again by the ATLAS Institute, who saw the elixir as a potential aid for those dealing with debilitating conditions. The concept is that, in killing the individuals, they can be reincarnated, hopefully curing any condition(s).

Recipe
