Amulet of the Silver Gaze
The Amulet of the Silver Gaze is a rare artifact most closely associated with Koh-ri, the drow goddess of death and revenge. The amulet has powers comparable to a medusa or the flesh to stone spell, transforming anyone caught in its gaze into a statue of pure silver, save for their eyes. The victims of the amulet are fully conscious while under the amulet's effects, though they are deprived of all senses except for sight, as their eyes are left intact.
The amulet appears as a single eye held within a simple metal frame, with a piece of black cloth attached to the frame. Within drow mythology, it is believed that Koh-ri was given the amulet by Liv-ek, the goddess of metalworking and weaponry, as a weapon to use against Ahn-tul in their eternal struggle. The eye itself is believed to have come from Feh-byl, the goddess of curses.
