Session 78: The Elvin city of Rivendell.
General Summary
After the aftermath of the conflict with the Draconian, dragon solders, and dragonnel the party began the process of securing the prisoners captured and taking care of the fallen. Wildheart commander Glerm had many questions. First who were there strange looking creatures in his forest? Where did they come from? How did they get close to Rivendell with out being noticed? What was there purpose beside destroying what ever was in their path. Commander Glerm made it very clear that he did not want these thing any where close to the city of Rivendell. Commander Glerm has asked High Priestess Jasmal and Zayrdi to perform the services for the fallen elves and there unicorns. Arceven had asked the integration of the prisoners to Dagwyn and Conan. This did cause some conflict with members as they wanted to use the Zone of Truth to get answers instead of perceived tactics of Dagwyn. Arceven had created a tiny hut for the integration to take place. Now a conflict happened between party members over what technique to use for the integration. Dagwyn and Conan wanted to use there method while Marik and Jasmal wanted to use the Zone of truth. Arceven had asked Dagwyn to do the integration who then asked Conan to join her. This cause a little riff as power struggles began and pulling of rank and so forth. Eventually they were able to get the following information:
- They were given orders to seek and destroy anything that they saw.
- The were to capture a sun elf by the name of Vaeriel Sunwhisper and bring her to a location to be name once captured.
- They were capturing her and seeking information on the 12 guardians
- They also wanted information from her on the 12 legendary guardian weapons.
- The coordinates to the locations were given to them by a wood elf from a secret assassins' guild.
- Bette the Siren was the leader who had escaped who also held valuable information as well.
Dagwyn disguised her self as Lilly, but it did not work with the Draconian. As they said if you were really were Lilly they would not be prisoners. Good or bad they were Lilly's creation and she would not do this to them. They were trained to be fighters and do her bidding or suffer the consquences. Then Conan, and Dagwyn said they were attacked by the prisoners and had to kill them.
Mean while Arceven was able to obtain the same information from the captured dragon solider as he was roasting his dragonnel in front of him. What both parties didn't know was the importance of Dame Vaeriel Sunwhisper or what capabilities she had to defend herself. The members of Shining Eclipse don't even know the importance of Vaeriel let alone the members of Order of the Phoenix and what her knowledge could be used in reestablishing the Order. Then after careful consideration the Aspirants and 100 Elvin troops were left behind to guard the prisoners as companions finished the job that they were hired for and arrived in the of Rivendell around the 18th hour. Arrangements were made by Zandi for accommodations whole the party stayed on Rivendell as they prepare for the next job which will take them back to Soteropolis. Around the 20th hour the companions met for dinner with Dame Vaeriel Sunwhisper, Duke Faelor Elrond, Wildheart commander Glerm, Baron Alaric Thornshade (Master of Defense), and Baron Callan Leafstride (Master of Commerce and Diplomacy). At dinner many questions are brought about the guild, the order, the draconian, and rumors of war in the realm of the Dragon Born. The Duke will as if the members of the order will visit the Revered Garden Monastery located a half-days travel from here. Vaeriel speaks up and encourages the party members to visit her monastery.

Escort the Merchant Caravan Objective: A renowned merchant has requested an experienced group to escort his caravan through the perilous Socrates Forest, bound for the city of Rivendell. The journey through Socrates Forest is treacherous, as the forest is notorious for magical creatures, roving bands of thieves, and formidable wood elves loyal to the noble House Elrond, House Legolas, and House Galadriel. While the merchant’s wares are valuable, it is the safe arrival of the entire caravan in Rivendell that is the top priority.
Challenges: Bandit Ambushes: The forest is home to bandit groups that prey on travelers, with scouts stationed along the path and skilled archers ready to strike. Enchanted Forest Creatures: Socrates Forest is home to mystical creatures, some benevolent but many territorial and dangerous. Encounters could range from fey beings to magical beasts that may need to be pacified or warded off. Unsettling Nightfall: At night, the forest’s magical properties intensify. Strange sounds, ghostly illusions, and shifting paths make travel after dark particularly hazardous. Political Tensions with the Wood Elf Houses: If the caravan strays from the designated path or accidentally violates the territory of one of the wood elf Houses, adventurers may find themselves facing skilled elven rangers or being pulled into inter-House tensions.
Reward: Payment: 4,000 Sheckels upon successful completion. Merchant’s Discount: 20% discount on all future purchases from the merchant, as a gesture of gratitude for the safe escort. Bonus: An additional 500 Sheckels if the entire cargo reaches Rivendell intact.
