The Weave

The broadly accepted term for the fundamental source of energy for all life and magic in the world and the varied planes of existence.

Manifestation

The Weave is meant to evoke an image of an enormous tapestry spanning all of existence, its individual threads being linked to every single life force or manifestation of power or magic. Using magic through magical devices or casting spells is sometimes called bending or shaping the weave.
It is also sometimes described as similar to how rivers, springs, oceans and the like cover the planet.

Localization

The Weave exists everywhere on all planes of existence. Wherever magic is possible The Weave exists. Locations with a powerful source of magic are often called laylines or nodes of power.

Type

Metaphysical, Arcane
