Pnumesthersept - The Fae - Lysanthir

Beings of raw power and will, these creatures have access to abilities that could easily be confused with ancient mythos about fairies, pixies, wraiths, chimera, and other fantastical creatures and events. This led to them being branded "Fae" by mortals. Pnumesthersept saw no reason before to have a name for her race, and her lack of intervention made the name stick. The Fae are nightmarish creatures and the embodiments of Pnumesthersept's will, power, and being.       Pnumesthersept is a primordial said to have existed since the beginning of everything. She has survived two (2) universe rending events, fully intact. Currently she resides within herself, Lysanthir. She is the first “she”, and mother to the Fae. There seems to be no limit to her power, but she tends to ignore the rest of existence while she focuses on improving the quality of life on Lysanthir.       Lysanthir is one of the four (4) great continents of Ylly. The Fae live here, and are extremely hostile to outsiders. This entire continent, the air and sky, earth and trees, and the dust and bones of all living things here are pieces of Pnumesthersept's mind, body, soul, instinct, power, and will. The place is shrouded in mystery and known by mortals only though shattered superstitions. The waters around the continent pull boats to the shore, and the waves push it up onto the beach. Occasionally a ship carcass can be found. The sands stop at the base of the tall, jagged mountain ranges that protect the inner areas.   The continent has been well maintained, and still holds a triangular shape, with only the edges on the sea suffering the damage of the ages. Lysanthir is full of energies and physics experienced nowhere else. mortals know this place as the “Fae realm” , a misnomer originating from ancient mythos.   The Fae have been shaped around the fear of the malicious mythos of mortal misconceptions. Pnumesthersept has done well at creating fear of her lands, and the cascade of deceit no longer requires her attention. She focuses on her people, herself, her lands, her power, and her knowledge. Unhindered by the distractions and woes of the rest of existence, her studies here have given insight into phenomenon unknown even to other primordials.   Mortals tend to avoid Lysanthir, lest they be made an example of. The Fae have been known to leave gruesome displays using the crews of ships, and having the ship magically sail to the nearest major port. Things like Sirens are also a creation of hers. (Sirens voice makes mortals go into a crazed reproductive rampage and try to "birds and bees" anything nearby to death)     ====== Residents   Pillesque - small fae creatures with heavy soulforce, and access to advanced magics. Their faces are acorn like, and they have sharp, black teeth. These creatures generally care to the land, protecting it and making it thrive. Pillesque have a static population, as long as Lysanthir remains intact and functional, a new Pillesque will be birthed from special flowers every time one dies.   Pillesque are small and fly, they are generally hard to hit. They have access to high level destruction magics. They are very smart and social. Pnumesthersept tends to generate the different species to embody different concepts of herself, and Pillesque are very much representations of her more playful and mischievous side. They are extraordinarily curious, and like to get up in people's business.    Sometimes they lock hands and dance in a circle around something they wish to drain the SoulForce of, and chant in high voices until the target is drained to dust. The same process can be changed slightly to infuse a target with SoulForce instead.   These critters have a high population, and can be found in every part of the continent. They are charged with maintaining the Ectenic Networks within Lysanthir. They travel long distances faster than should be physically possible as they "surf" the pulses in the Ectenic Network like waves.       Animonculis - terrifying Fae creatures. They look as though multiple creatures merged and mixed together into a horrible monster. Animonculi are birthed by the land itself. Ancient bones rise up and take form. Strands and ribbons of flesh crawl their body to give them form. They are fully alive, but many have confused this process with necromancy.   An Animonculis is truely a sight to behold. These creatures vary in shape and size, and each Animonculis has a unique physical form. Although there are several features that are universal to all Animonculi, such as 4 legs and 2 arms. They resemble several different kinds of creatures stretched and blended together in tight spirals. Some have smoldering bones that crack the flesh like a dry lip. Others have markings covering their body that are similar to faces with disturbing expressions. One has a metal body covered in blades, but with no head. Another is made entirely of clear crystal.   These guys are on the more rare of residents in Lysanthir, but they are powerful and have a singular purpose : purge anything or anyone that presents a threat to Pnumesthersept. They mostly stay on Lysanthir, but have been known to travel the different realms to do Pnumesthersept's bidding.       Fae’Kyrie - from Lysanthir, these sapient creatures have their own will and can choose their destiny. Once Pillesque, these were uplifted by Pnumesthersept to be agents of the world. To explore all aspects of reality in a way that she never bothered to before. These beings are on par with string mortals and are prone to folly, almost by design, and give unique insights through unpredictable interactions with reality and mortals in general. They can shapeshift and use passive illusion magics to travel the mortal realms without revealing their Fae origins.   Fae'Kyrie have given great insight into the fragile workings of reality. Knowledge gained from her children in the mortal realms only constantly confirms the need to strengthen herself and her kind. The entirety of existence could melt away, but she will ensure that she survives anything.
