New Baraas

The city of New Baraas is one of the oldest human settlements in the eastern hemisphere and boasts a rich history that sometimes hangs between truth and legend. The land was gifted to the first humans by the dwarves of Mog Tharim after they came down over the Frost Plains in their flight from Ezakk. The city is located on the mouth of the Ladybrook River where it meets the Aaldan Sea. Due to its location between the dwarves in the Barrin Mountains and the ocean trade routes together with its perfect climate for farming it grew to become Yllshara's trade hub.
The city is made up of two parts: Old Baraas, the abandoned settlement west of the River, and New Baraas, the current day city known as the High Lady's last gift. Due to its trade influence New Baraas is home to members of every race on Yllshara save the dragonborn. Due to this diversity the city is known for its acceptance of almost any culture.
