Welcome to Yjord.
Yjord is a continent made up for landscapes and unexplored territory. It is a young continent. Written history has it aged at 1319 as a birth date. Before that, there is no history known. Since then, the world has grown, and commerce has begun. Settlements dot the land and some even dwell underground. To the East sits the baron mountains of Roseg. These mountains are home to caves, cities, and towns. The under dark lies in the deep centers of these mountains. Not much is known about these dwellers or even if they have been there for long.
To the south the sea of Vast. This sea has settlers on it, and fisherman run its shores but the sea has not been sailed before. Its never been explored and mapped. The mapping expeditions have begun, but there is no further land that has been found, so expeditions have been short.
East- Virdeen fields. These large expanses fields and rolling hills spread east. Coming to a conclusive end at the start of the black swamp. This baron wasteland has not been mapped and it is widely accepted that this land does not hold life. There is no yearning to explore this wasteland and so efforts have not provided and conclusive knowledge.
The north lies The Mirrored Tropics. A large expanse of peaceful jungle. Inhabited by elves and creatures that are known to all as mischievous but harmless. There are villages on the map, whole civilizations are rumored to be peaceful and the creatures in this forest tend to stay to themselves.
Now, 471 years after the start of recorded history, there stands burned fields, and cities where large fields once were. Universities stand in their own territories. Trade routes connect the major areas of the continent. Vast unexplored lands stand out before you, ready to be mapped, and adventure awaits all who are willing to explore.
