Icarus

The city of Icarus Floats over Yarth using a lighter than air metal. This city serves as the capital for the Topsiders and by extension Humanity as a whole.

Government

Unlike most of Yarth here there is no immediate danger from Venari or beasts here. Here Humanity returns to its old ways those of violence and selfishness here a government is actually needed. The city is directed via a single buzzie affectionately referred to as U.N.C.L.E. who determines the most efficient city layout plans, architecture, logistics, etc. secondly a council of humans ensures that UNCLE is always working in the cities best interests as well as prosecute crimes within the city.

Defences

The fact the city is afloat means that Venarian cultists must enter the city through one of several high security ports that ring the city. furthermore when a Nightfall comes large foothurium ballons are released which unfold in flight to umbrella oover the ccity blocking line of sight to the night sky and stopping any and all from accidentally or purposfully gazing upon Venari

Infrastructure

The city is carried across Yarth via leylines using their eldritch pull to sail from continent to continent. Yarth has an entire district dedicated to the gathering and manufacture of bluut which not only powers the city at large but is their main trade good. The underbelly of the city is rumored to host a Vestige which aids in keeping the city afloat and moving but what is confirmed is that within these sub levels the foothurium is managed to keep the cities altitude stable with house sized cannisters of refined bluut being flowed and retracted through capillary tunnels that run through the foothurium foundation the city is built on. The city is predominantly vertical buildings large enough to be classed as skyscrapers which host their own hanging gardens high above the smog of the city below. The city is only 2 square miles but that dosent stop the use of bluut powered vehicles taking citizens from place to place.

Architecture

All structures on Icarus are high rises to maximize square footage. these high rises have an architecture resembling 1800 A.D. buildings but are latticed and reinforced with foothurium to help offset their weight.

Geography

At the center of the city is the Mainframe, a grand structure that serves as F.A.T.H.E.R.'s physical body as well as a town hall, though dark rumors persist that the mainframe holds a darker and more dangerous secret. to the west a portion of the city limits has been covered with soil and converted into pastures where Blambro trees are kept. to the east a great industrial complex has been built to prduce alloys especially foothurium
