Kuran Xorrbin
Kuran, first born son of Bhael Xorrbin, was the typical mage going through the Sorcere at Siglagthil. Son of an influencial house, with enough magical potential to be trained at the acedemy. And like many males fortunate enough to have this option he gladly took it and made the most of it by gaining enough power that even his sisters had to hold back and think twice before offending him.
Kuran trained at the academy for several decades until he became the assistent of one of the more powerful masters at Sorcere - Rael Dulaenthan. Naturally his next goal was to become one of the masters of the acedemy either when a new position opened up or create an opening for himself. Though luck seemed to be on his side as Rael dispeared for more than a year. While nobody in the city seemed to know more about what his master was doing his abscense appeared to be too long for everything going according to plan.
Within the house Xorrbin Kuran has little allies to count on. He prefered to stay out of his mother's plan, rather focusing on his own ambitions. As a powerful evoker he knew that he could establish himself within the ranks of the Sorcere thus gaining independence of his mother's fortunes.
Dealings with his older sister Aradel often ended up in a rivalry based on hatred. She too often used physical punishment and humilation that he had to endure to not provoke an even more severe punishment from his mother. Both Aradel and Kuran knew that she could only get away with it due to the social standings and that she was playing a dangerous game if he ever would get the chance to get away with it. His relationship with the second daughter was far better as she didn't abuse her station as much, but Aradel killed her.
Kuran didn't care too much about the other siblings as his younger brother is merely a soldier and his third sister seemed to be a tool of his mother, so he prefered to keep the distance to not get entagled into the family business more than he absolutely needed to. His cousin Oloun on the other hand turned out to be a pest. Kuran suspected that his cousin made a pact with demons, being the uneductated fool he was, but that could challenge his position as first arcane spellcaster of the family.
