Oveurate Sanjha (ovjuɾeit vo sɑnʤijɑ)

Sanjha is a small autonomous Oveurate on the southwestern coast of Tytheria, originally founded as a Derot in the 12th century AY by Idal Imev, it eventually became a Oveurate in 1652. Its capital is Sangku, and its population is over 500,000. Its current Oveur is Forun IX.

History

Founding

Sanjha was founded as a Derot at the coastal city of Sangku in 1167 AY by a Sai-Tin man named Idal Imev. In 1209, Idal's granddaughter Vili takes power as his only descendant. The title of Dero of Sanjha passed to the Palut family in 1238 and again to the Zatan family in 1334.

Political Crisis and Creation of the Oveurate

In 1482, Dera Amala Zatan died with no clear successor, triggering the Sanjhan War of Succession, which pitted her son Malot Wesen against her nephew Asev Zatan. The war lasted 2 years, ending after the death of Dero Malot. Asev Zatan became Dero and ruled until he died in 1510. In 1569, Dero Asev III Zatan was overthrown by Sai forces and replaced with a Toluan named Eres Aldiz who was 14 at the time of his enthronement. He became the longest reigning Sanjhan monarch, ruling for over 68 years. His son, Forun I, establiashed the Oveurate, but was overthrown by Atep Amal Zatan, a descendant of Etrur V, in 1658 and is executed a year later. This triggered the TInjongnian Invasion of Sanjha (1660-1661), ending in the imprisonment of Atep and his son, and the reinstatement of the Aldiz family with Forun I's grandson.

Integration

In 1829, Oveur Forun V and Vaintoreks Eric II integrate Sanjha joined Tinjongnia as an autonomous region with the signing of the Sangku Treaty.
