Andalbeura Yirud Gorvil Julien (jiʁ̞ʊd vu'gɔɾvil ʒulien)
Andalbeura Vairn Yirud vu Gorvil, Julien
Story
Life in Tolu
Yirud vu Gorvil Julien was a Toluan nobleman who was born the town of Orsab, 1519, on the Toluan-Kinji border. He was the only child of Toluan Vairn Rota Gorvil Julien, who was killed in 1527 during the war. Yirud blamed the Xivenyu for his father's death, despite his father having died fighting Kinji forces. Yirud eventually joined the Toludemeran army, where he naturally excelled with the help of hsi high intellect and nobile status, and eventually became a Toludemeran general.Imperial General of Tinjongnia
In 1645, Vaintoreks Phalus I had heard of Yirud's skills as a Toludemeran general, and selected him to be the new Andalbeura of Tinjongnia, replacing the recently deceased Mitol Edruden II. In 1569, during the Second Tinjongnian-Xivenyu War, after Xivenyu forces had invaded Tolu, Andalbeura Yirud Julien committed a genocidal act in the Xivenyu city of Arenai, killing over 1,200 people. After hearing about his atrocities, Vaintoreks Phalus I heavily reprimanded him and heavily restricted his power, but did not punish him as that would have lead to the public gaining knowledge on the atrocities committed in Arenai.Exile to Syvona
After Phalus I died in 1576, Vaintoreks Thejari I forcefully retired Yirud, publicly citing his reason being for Yirud's physical health issues, and secretly permanently exiled him and his family to Syvona in 1577, a punishment Thejari himself thought to be too lenient, but followed through with to avoid a public revelation. Thejari replaced him with Visol Odel Titra. Yirud's life in Syvona was relatively peaceful, as he and his family were cared for by the Syvonan royal government.Zilia Ulas Jajien
Yirud's third child and youngest son, Rota, married Ofynks Lani, daughter of Ohmait Kyara I of Syvona, and they had two children. Their first being Ofynks Zilia Ulas Jajien (ofjinks zɪliɑ ulɑs ʒaʒien) in 1580, who was given the "Syvonized" surname Jajien instead of Julien because Rota wanted to distance her from his father, Yirud. She spent little time with her grandfather, who died in 1596 at the age of 76. She spent more time with her royal cousins than her few noble relatives and came to despise Yirud after her family told her of his previous actions. She was selected in by Thejari I in 1610 to replace Andalbeura Hipola Gorred, serving as his right-hand in the Third Tinjongnia-Xivenyu War. She was responsible for the eastern campaign in the war and famously caught the fleeing Xivenyu Andalafynks Voel at the Battle of Werea in 1619. She assisted vaintoreks Thejari II in 1620 in the writing of the "Imperial Revelation" which exposed many of the crimes committed by the Tinjongnian Army in the Second and Third Xivenyu Wars, including Yirud's massacre in Arenai. Aberkypir Oulu I of Tolu-Demer offered Zilia a marriage proposal in 1620, but she declined it. She served as Andalbeura until she retired in 1640 and moved to Orsab, administering the small Vairnate of Gorvil as the legal successor to her father and Yirud. Though she died peacefully in 1658 with no children, her younger brother spawned a Syvonan princely line that still continues in modern day.Social
