The Pit

The Pit. This is located in the Pit Swamp and is thought to go straight through the entire world. Surrounded by the husks of dead trees the brown swampland is thinly veiled by the gasses that rise from the maw. The exposed rock has shown colors of red, black brown and yellow, but none have descended into The Pit more than a few hundred feet and returned to tell the tale.
The Pit marshes. A fairly large territory of almost lifeless swamp that surrounds The Pit. The largest single feature of the Pit marshes is The Pit which takes up nearly one quarter of the land and is responsible for the desolation. The marshes are the result of toxic gasses rising from The Pit combined with the prevailing winds.
