Ferality
After the Destruction of Sherain, all of its' surviving inhabitants returned to ferality, eventually succumbing to insanity, rabidity, in-fighting, and self-destruction.
A condition both physiological and neurological, the cause of which has not yet been found.
Some argue that the first case/s of Ferality preceded the Catastrophe.

Treatment
No known, effective treatment found as yet.

Appears to be most humanoids, except for bat-folk. So after the outbreak first occurred, no one went to Sherain for a while. Many folks still believe that getting too close may cause them to contract the disease.
Prevention
None known.
Epidemiology
This condition appears only to effect sapient species, though this information is anecdotal. It seems it cannot be passed onto bat-folk, though whether they are carriers or not has not yet been concluded, as no scholar wants to risk contracting the long-dead disease.
