The Apex Arcanum

During the Arcane Upheaval, there was a time when five magic users stood above all others. Their identities are vaguely known, but their exploits and followings are legendary. Each held their specific area and lived significantly throughout this time, to a point where those who worked under them were considered their own armies that could take on nations. Each was known by a particular moniker:
The Arcane Master The High Fae Queen The Green Mountain The Crimson Scourge The Cloaked Unknown
Some have been compared to these individuals unofficially, but these individuals were clearly high and above powerhouses during this time. Histories involving these individuals have either been completely wiped, closely guarded, or are still completely unknown, so the mystique of them still remains in the current world. Each was known to use highly powerful spells from changing the weather, moving mountains, and distorting the mind of those around them. They garnered both admiration and fear throughout the years. Despite their notoriety, the fate of each of them is completely unknown. It was never known where The Arcane Master and Cloaked Unknown had their lairs located, The High Fae Queen was known to be located in Vinovo, The Green Mountain in Novis, and The Red Scourge was known to be located in Lacrucia, but no one has ever discovered any of their lairs to this day. They suddenly went silent after some time, with no one knowing or admitting what ever became of each of them. Their legacies and exploits are still taught in schools and told to new generations, with some taking it as a warning of what can become of those who misuse and become consumed by power, but others taking it as a challenge of what they can achieve.
