Lotell Magical Academy

A large magic school which lies in the lands of Amquel and is named after the legendary arcane adventurer Ardwin 'Ard' Lowtell. The school was the first established after the Arcane Upheaval and holds very good standing with the community. The school is a large series of buildings of fine stone and marble, kept up due to maintenance and donations. They are known to shape arcane users of different statuses, from the middling to royalty, in order to properly educate them and make sure they can help those in the land. In order to enter the academy, a rigorous amount of tests must be passed, along with some gold to cover expenses during their education. Some cannot enter even after passing the tests due to the amount of gold needed to enter. Their halls have had many prestigious names pass throughout, even those of the royal families and foreigners, who go on to become adventurers and heroes. The spark theory is partially believed here as there have been exceptions admitted to the school, but never fully reported on.
The unique thing about this school is that they have a specific curriculum for those gifted in martial techniques and teach them how to incorporate them into their spellcasting (War Magic) to be used in battle and ready when needed, for the good of the land. If you can never get to Fizell or don't want to free study in the islands, this would be the only place to learn these arts officially.
