Black Isle

A small island near the continent, as it was only one known to be a safe distance from the island that is livable. The residents of this island continue to live here due to madness, sleep deprivation, or hopelessness. A small community does live here and does receive provisions from time to time, due to people who stop here before trying to explore the continent or simply tourists. Non residents do not stay there long due to them being haunted by spirits, hearing voices, etc. and do not want to befall the same fate as those who live there. Some people do leave the island, but they are far and few between.
