Ilé

Also known as "The Fool God", the most common symbol of Ilé is that of a young man walking off of a cliff as seen on the #1 Tarot Card. It is believed that one of the most sacred acts one can perform in Ilé's name is to bring his holy symbol with you on a journey, then abandon it where only the next seasoned adventurer will discover it. This is culturally seen as a testament to the confidence followers of Ilé have for the gradual improvement of all men. It is seen as a marvelous privilege to be able to participate in this tradition, as the discovery of your former symbol proves the message of your God right, while never actually knowing if it has been reclaimed forces the adventurer to accept that life must sincerely be about the journey rather than material reward.   It is not uncommon for aggressive debate to occur between followers of Ilé and devout worshippers of Sestris, as the two often disagree on what makes a life well lived. Iléans often consider one's benefit to society to be lending a hand wherever need for one may arise, while Sestrans usually see the specific application of one's talents for the betterment of all to be a nobler use of time.
