Freeborn

The Freeborn, or "Plantfolk", are a race of individuals born from the falling fruits of Yggdramar. They have skin made of leaves and bark, and bear the reincarnated souls of the Sylvari whose souls previously rested in the fruits of The World Tree. Freeborn individuals often have heads bearing segmented vines, branches, and moss that is worn about the face like a pseudo-hairstyle. The first of The Freeborn, Petalwish Abernathee, was born and raised by the man who had volunteered the latter portion of his life to being the Tree's caretaker, Fauno Abernathee. Shortly after her awakening, Fauno would realize that several other Sylvari souls in the seedlings above were also planning to re-enter their world, and began to guide them toward the same peaceful transition into their new form that his daughter experienced.
